Labor and Birth Care
- Attendance From Active Labor Until Birth
- 24/7 access to midwife for questions in early labor
- Midwife arrives in active labor (this is time you’d be leaving for the hospital if planning a hospital birth)
- Encouragement, support, and comfort measures given throughout labor
- Careful Monitoring of Mother and Baby
- Vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, temperature) are monitored in mother
- Baby’s heart rate is monitored using intermittent monitoring
- All information is charted using an e-chart that mother has access to
